Our Current Bingo Buddy

Jamesrose

Mirror Bingo players are the biggest hearted bunch in the business...so says our Bingo Buddy, Julie Rose.

"From the bottom of my heart, I'd like to thank all the amazing friends I made in the Mirror bingo chat rooms for keeping me going when the chips were down," says Julie, 35, alias jamesrose.

Julie and her four children lost dad James, 40, to cancer in February. She nursed her hubby at home in Hampshire...and played Mirror bingo when she had time to relax.

"I played bingo to take my mind of my sadness," says Julie. "With four children at home and a very poorly husband, I couldn't get out much so it was to my roomie mates I turned for comfort and support."

"With people like Momann and Chat Host Terri, I felt there was always someone kind to talk to... Even during the night when I couldn't sleep for worrying. I don't think I'd have coped without them all."

Julie looked after James at home until two days before he passed away. Within hours of losing him, Julie logged in to the Mirror bingo chat room.

"It was 7am. I just typed in: 'He's gone'. And I was overwhelmed with kind messages of condolence and support," says Julie.

"One roomie even offered to help me with the funeralÂ…and I'd never even met her face-to-face. That is the sort of people Mirror players are...wonderful.

Julie is looking forward to using her £500 Bingo Buddy of the Month cash prize to treat her family this summer.

23Pastures

Our Easter bingo buddy was grandmother Joyce Spencer "alias 23 pastures". Joyce has turned Mirror Bingo in to her very own generation game and that's why we wanted to share her story and show her how much we value her.

"Mirror bingo is my life line to my widespread family. Whenever I play I chat to my daughters and my grandchildren and even keep up with the news about my great grandchildren," says 78-year-old housebound Joyce.

"I've got 6 kids, 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren...and counting. The best way for me to keep up with them all is to chat away in the Mirror Bingo Party chatroom.

Joyce has been playing bingo online since last September when her family clubbed together to buy her a laptop computer for her birthday.

"The kids think I'm cool because I'm the oldest person they know who uses the internet. I wish my late husband, Maurice, could see me play bingo from my recliner chair. He'd probably smile and say: 'You enjoy it, my darling."
